Tri-State Racing Newspaper Announces Columnists
By:  T. J. Layne

ASHLAND, KY-In the following days after announcing the formation of the paper, the Tri-State Racing Newspaper has assembled an “all star” type group of columnists.  The first columnist to join the paper is Kyle Jones.  Kyle has recently been doing feature articles for OhioDTR.com and also has his own website with photos of old racetracks in Ohio and West Virginia.  410 Sprint and Modified driver Aaron Fry will also have a column in the paper.  Aaron has years of experience in the sport and is currently writing a book about the history of Ohio racing.

Scott Wolfe brings his years of racing experience to the paper.  For the past several years, Scott has been the public relations man at K-C Raceway.  Another veteran racer, Keith Bills, joins the paper as he will look at the current issues in racing and will also cover the WV racing scene.  Bob Reed, who has several years of experience writing in various papers, including current PR man for Elkins Speedway, will also cover WV racing for the paper.  James Trimble, administrator and founder of East KY Racing.com, one of the more popular racing websites, will put his years of experience into words as he will cover Eastern Kentucky racing.

Sprint Car racing will have a good voice in the paper as Doug Seeger will write “Sprint Car Weekly”.  Doug has experience writing for national websites and magazines as well as maintaining his own website, the Wide Open Sprint Car page.  Northern Ohio dirt racing will be covered in the paper with “Scoops Insider” by Steve Hartzell.  The “Tech Tip” column will be provided by Warren Draughn, owner of Draugh Racing Supply in Bulan, Kentucky.  Scott Salyers, a long time reporter for the various message boards, will offer his unique analysis for the first time in a newspaper column.

In what will definitely be a favorite of readers, “Cool Shots by Richard A. Smith” will provide the best photos from the Ohio racing scene each week.  Richard has been the K-C Raceway track photographer for the past two seasons and has captured some of the most spectacular racing moments in his pictures from not just K-C, but several other area tracks.  As you can see, the Tri-State Racing Newspaper is not only going to provide news and results from the top series and OH, KY, and WV tracks but with the columnists assembled,  readers will get a true insiders look at racing in the tri-state.  For more information on the Tri-State Racing Newspaper visit www.tristateracingnews.com.
