Racers In Christ has been given the
honor of being the ministry for Early
Wine Racing by conducting the Sunday
morning church service and providing
the opening pray prior to the races
starting. Southern Ohio Sports Photos
was there on Sunday, November 1 to
capture the action and will be the
photographer for Earlywine’s main
events. This is a new and exiting
opportunity for Racer In Christ to
expand their ministry.
The first group of races was held this
past weekend, October 31 and November
1, Thomas competed in two race
classifications, the School Boy and
Quad Sport. The School Boy is limited
to riders age 12-15 with no
limitations on the size of the motor.
Thomas raced a 2006 Honda 300EX with a
stock engine and suspension upgrades.
There were three other quads in the
School Boy classification, a National
level Honda 300EX with a Tom Carlson
motor, a 2009 Suzuki 400 and a Honda
450R. In the Quad Sport
classification, engine size is limited
to a maximum engine size of 350 cc’s.
There were four other riders in this
classification. Thomas held off the
competition on day one with 3 1st
places wins and 1 2nd place
win that placed us 1st
overall in both classes. Day two was
more difficult as other riders were
determined to take 1st
place. Thomas finished with 1 1st
place win, 2 2nd place wins
and 1 third place win that placed us 2nd
in the Quad Sport class and 3rd
in the School Boy class overall.
