Ponderosa Speedway Super Late Models $1,500/Pro Late Models $1,000 to Win June 13

 

Junction City, Kentucky-June 8, 2008- “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”, Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY, will return with racing action on June 13 at the  3/8 mile clay oval located on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, promoted by Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz. 

 

The racing program scheduled for Friday June 13, will feature the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models racing for $1,500 to win and the Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models racing for $1,000 to win.  Also on the racing program for June 13 will be full program of weekly racing series competition for the Hardee’s Modifieds and SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman. 

 

Activities for the Friday June 13 racing event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m.  The Super Late Model driver’s meeting will take place at 6:45 p.m., while all other drivers will meet at 7:00 p.m., with hot laps at 7:15 p.m., time trials at 7:45 p.m., and racing set for the green flag at or before 8:30 p.m.  Ticket prices for June 13 will be $12 for adults in the general admission area, with children ages 6 to 12 $5, children under age 6 free, and a pit pass will be $30.    

 

Ponderosa Speedway last raced on May 30 and feature event winners that evening included Victor Lee of Stanford, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, Benji Lee of Raywick, KY in Hardee’s Modifieds, and Rick King of Junction City, KY in SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman win.

 

Track championship points leaders heading into the Friday June 13 racing program are Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, P.J. Feistritzer of Danville, KY in Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, Kelly Warren of Columbia, KY in Hardee’s Modifieds, and Bartley Grant of Berea, KY in SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.
